Sorry that we haven't updated the website in a while.  Life just seemed to get busy on us!  Corbin's next surgery just kind of slipped up on us, and we are in San Antonio now for his first expansion.  We had plenty of tests this morning and report in the morning for his surgery.  He can't have anything to eat after midnight, and he is the second case, so it may be a long morning!  He sure didn't like all of the xrays and blood draws today.  And now that he is a little older, he sure lets you know it!

Corbin had his surgery this morning.  We were in the recovery room by noon and everything went well.  He didn't have the second rod replaced, they just expanded the one that was in there.  So hopefully, the recovery will be quick.  Holly went back to be with him in the recovery room, and apparently he didn't like waking up from the anesthesia.  Holly said he was like a mad baby dinosaur.  He punched her in the lip and was yanking on anything he could get a hold of.  A little morphine helped out.  He has been sleeping much of the day.   The surgeons have said that if all goes well and his xrays look okay tomorrow, we may be able to leave tomorrow afternoon!

Well, we are now updating the website from home!  Corbin did welll yesterday and last night, and all of his xrays looked good today, so we were discharged late this afternoon.  Corbin slept the entire way home.  He is trying to catch up.  Around lunch he started walking again..  He was pretty cautious until he saw the fishtank and playroom near the nurse's station.  And then it was pretty much full force playing with as many toys as possible in as little time as possible.  We will post pictures in the near future.  We plan on just relaxing tomorrow and continuing the pain meds!  We are very thankful for this first expansion and hope they all run this smoothly!
